Course Narration Press Release - Oct. 4th 2007

Recently, Costech Technologies conducted an informal survey to gather information regarding issues stemming from concerns voiced by students and parents accessing our virtual driver education course. This document is to provide you with the results of that survey as well as answers to the concerns.

To reiterate the question, students were asked to give a response to, "what is being said by their friends regarding taking or not taking driver education." We had mixture of responses from both perspectives, what is being said by their peers to their feelings regarding the issues.

Let us keep in mind that operating a motor vehicle is a "privilege" issued by each state and is not guaranteed to anyone. The federal and state governments spend millions of dollars each year to make our roads safer. "Joshua's Law" was passed to accomplish this initiative in Georgia.

Special grant programs are being developed to generate funds to assist in providing driver education programs, however this will never be enough to completely provide the needed program at your student's school.

About 18 months ago, the state realized the possibility of the passing of "Joshua's Law" and began seeking methods to offer a solution to a monumental task which was before them, "how to educate all of the students to be affected by the new legislation?" With a shortage of school programs, private driving schools, and funding, "How do we (the state) make the program accessible, affordable, and effective for all teens?" The only thing that could answer that question was online education or "virtual" programs. To date, the state has approved over 30 virtual courses which can be found on the Ga. DDS website. True, these courses are probably more difficult than a traditional classroom courses, however there have very distinct advantages. Students have access to them on their personal schedule without the traveling to and from the class location, they are affordable, and they are proven for providing a quality education for the student who uses them as designed.

Costech Technologies wants you to know that we hear our students. We have already begun making changes to our program to assist you in the long hours of reading. Yes! We will soon offer the course with a narrator, as well as changing the format of some of the evaluating tools which equates to a more fun course while not diminishing the seriousness of the purpose.

Lastly, Costech Technologies is proud to be the oldest and most-affordable course, as well as having produced the most graduates of the virtual classroom in our state. We look forward to continuing serving you and those that you refer to us. BE SAFE and happy motoring!!!
